Four members of Georgia CCIM recently traveled to Washington, D.C., along with representatives from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR), to discuss the state of the real estate industry. Kirk Rich, Patricia Drew, Bill Adams and Ethan Armentrout met with members of Georgia’s Congressional delegation to discuss commercial and residential real estate issues, with a focus on 1031 Exchange Laws and 15-year leasehold improvements depreciation rules. CCIM members stressed the importance of keeping these tools in place should there be tax reform. The two-day trip also helped CCIM strengthen relationships with the NAR and GAR.
